BFSI

Shape the front end of a flagship asset-management platform

Are you a senior front-end engineer who enjoys taking genuine ownership – not just delivering tickets, but shaping how a major customer-facing platform is built, performs and evolves?

You’ll join our BFSI practice working on a flagship digital platform for a leading global asset management client. This is a high-visibility, client-facing role where you’ll influence technical direction, collaborate directly with business stakeholders, and help set the benchmark for quality, performance and delivery.

You’ll work with modern React and Next.js at scale, own features end to end, and help create reusable, high-quality components used across teams. If you like solving meaningful problems, working closely with clients and seeing your work make a real impact, this is a strong opportunity.

What you’ll do

  • Build and evolve a large-scale, customer-facing asset-management web platform using React, Next.js (SSR/SSG) and TypeScript
  • Own features end to end – from technical design and estimation through development, testing and release
  • Act as a key contact for client product owners, designers and content teams, turning business and regulatory requirements into practical technical solutions
  • Contribute to reusable UI component libraries within a monorepo setup
  • Drive improvements in web performance, Core Web Vitals, technical SEO and structured data
  • Work with AWS-hosted infrastructure, CDN caching, Docker and GitLab CI/CD pipelines
  • Use AI-assisted engineering tools, including GitHub Copilot and Claude Code, to accelerate delivery
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, proactively identifying risks, dependencies and opportunitiesReview code, mentor engineers and champion clean, secure, well-tested development practices

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum 10 years’ front-end / web application engineering experience
  • Experience building large-scale web applications and reusable component libraries
  • Solid understanding of web performance optimisation and Core Web Vitals
  • Experience with state management such as Redux or Context API, plus build tooling including Webpack and Babel
  • Strong testing experience using Jest, React Testing Library and Cypress or similar
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Docker and AWS
  • Confidence working directly with business or client stakeholders in an Agile environment
  • A proactive, accountable approach – someone who communicates clearly, manages expectations and delivers quality work on time
  • Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) experience
  • Financial services background, ideally asset management, banking or an FCA-regulated environment
  • Technical SEO, Schema.org and structured-data implementation
  • Monorepo tooling such as RushJS, Nx or Turborepo, or micro-frontend experience
  • Practical use of AI coding tools
  • Node.js, GraphQL and REST API integration
  • Front-end security knowledge, including RBAC/entitlements and OWASP

What we offer

  • 25 days’ holiday plus 8 bank holidays, with the option to carry forward or cash in 5 days each year
  • Wellness platform, wellbeing app, premium fitness access, life coaching and emotional wellbeing support
  • 24/7 virtual GP and Employee Assistance Programme
  • Life insurance and income protection
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity pay
  • Cycle to work and travel loan schemes
  • Tech Scheme offering discounts on more than 5,000 technology products

Ready to make an impact?

If you’re an experienced React and Next.js engineer looking for a senior, client-facing role where your work will genuinely shape a major digital platform, we’d love to hear from you.
