About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Transformation Lead to drive finance transformation initiatives within a global Accounting Services function. This role will focus on improving accounting processes, strengthening financial controls, simplifying ways of working and implementing scalable, standardized processes across international teams.
You will lead a team of 8 Assistant Accountants and work closely with Finance, Technology, Shared Services and senior stakeholders to deliver meaningful operational improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead finance transformation projects from planning through to implementation.
- Develop transformation roadmaps, project plans, milestones and delivery strategies.
- Drive process improvement, standardization and automation across accounting operations.
- Improve month-end close processes, efficiency, accuracy and financial controls.
- Collaborate with Financial Controllers, Finance Business Partners, Technology and Shared Services teams.
- Manage project governance, risks, dependencies, reporting and stakeholder communications.
- Support finance system enhancements, including SAP, and improve data quality.
- Lead change management activities to ensure successful adoption of new processes.
- Track project benefits, performance metrics and continuous improvement outcomes.
- Manage, coach and develop a team of 8 Assistant Accountants.
- Coordinate internal and external audit requests.
- 7+ years of relevant experience within finance, transformation, change delivery or shared services.
- 3-5 years of experience leading teams, projects or cross-functional workstreams.
- Proven experience delivering finance transformation, process improvement, automation or operating model changes.
- Experience with SAP or other finance systems and an understanding of accounting processes and financial controls.
- Experience within a multinational organization or global finance shared services environment.
- Pharmaceutical or scientific industry experience.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional qualification.
