Reporting directly to the Founders
The opportunity
We’re working with a high-growth SaaS company that has strong traction with some of the most established names in its market, and has just closed a funding round to back the next phase. The founders have taken sales as far as they can themselves. Now they need an enterprise seller who can land and expand with large, complex organisations, and turn that early momentum into a repeatable commercial engine.
This is an upmarket role. You’ll focus on large, regulated enterprises rather than mid-market or SMB customers. That means long sales cycles, multiple stakeholders, procurement and security reviews, and significant contract values. You’ll own the full cycle end to end: identifying and opening target accounts, running discovery and pilots, navigating buying committees and closing. You’ll also build the infrastructure around you, including CRM, sequencing, reporting, messaging and an enterprise playbook. As the business grows, you’ll build and lead the team.
There’s already real inbound interest from content, events, community and the founders’ network. But this role isn’t about working warm leads. It’s for a genuine enterprise hunter who can break into large accounts, find the right people inside them, and create opportunities from nothing.
What you’ll do
- Own the full enterprise sales cycle, from account targeting and outbound through to close
- Win net-new logos with large, established organisations, with deals running through procurement, legal and security review
- Build and work account plans, engaging senior stakeholders across functions (e.g. compliance, risk, legal, marketing and the C-suite)
- Build a repeatable enterprise outbound and GTM playbook from scratch
- Set up and improve CRM, sequencing, forecasting and reporting
- Convert inbound, events and community activity into qualified enterprise pipeline
- Work directly with the founders on pricing, packaging, positioning and GTM strategy
- Use modern sales and AI tooling to cut admin time and maximise selling time
What we’re looking for
6+ years in B2B sales, including a strong track record closing enterprise deals, ideally gained at least partly at a startup or scale‑up. Specifically, you:
- Have closed six‑figure contracts with large enterprises, not just high‑volume mid‑market or SMB deals
- Have managed long, complex sales cycles (6-12+ months) with multiple stakeholders, from first meeting through procurement to signature
- Can multi‑thread across a buying committee and engage confidently at senior and C-suite level
- Have experience with a structured enterprise sales method such as MEDDICC, MEDDPICC or Challenger
- Have built a sales motion, process or tooling, not just inherited one
- Are genuinely strong at outbound, including breaking into named target accounts
- Sell equally well over the phone, over video and face to face in the boardroom
- Operate with a lot of autonomy and little hand‑holding, and enjoy working directly with founders every day
- Can sell a technical or regulated product to sophisticated, risk‑aware buyers
Experience selling into financial services (banks, insurers, asset or wealth managers) is a big advantage, especially in RegTech, compliance, risk or fintech software. A strong enterprise track record in LegalTech, HealthTech or another regulated sector is also very relevant.
Why this role
You’re joining early enough to have real influence. The product is proven with established customers, momentum is building, and the next chapter is about landing and expanding with the biggest organisations in the market. If you love winning large, complex deals but want to build a function (and eventually lead a team) rather than just carry a bag, this is a strong next step.
