Data Engineer
Blandford Forum | Hybrid – 3 days onsite
Salary: up to £75,000 depending on experience
CPS Group are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to support high-priority projects within a secure Defence environment, developing robust data pipelines and solutions for mission-critical applications.
The role requires 3 days onsite with travel and accommodation expenses paid for if required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain ETL frameworks and data pipelines.
- Ingest, transform, cleanse and validate large-scale datasets.
- Develop data models to support analytics, reporting and operational decision-making.
- Manage data quality, governance, security and compliance standards.
- Monitor and optimise data workflows for performance, reliability and cost.
- Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and improve existing data solutions.
Key Requirements:
- Experience within similar Data Engineer role
- Knowledge and experience with Snowflake and Databricks are essential
- SQL and Python skills, with experience building data pipelines.
- Knowledge of data modelling, integration, quality and governance.
- AWS preferred
- Experience working within complex or secure environments.
Security Clearance: Candidates must be sole British citizens who have lived permanently in the UK for the last five years and be eligible to obtain high-level security clearance.
