Job Description Our client supplies, installs and services a range of industrial Battery Chargers, and related products, for industrial Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS). We are currently seeking a Field Service Engineer to join a nationwide team responsible for servicing Battery Chargers and their related Battery Packs at commercial/industrial locations. n n Responsibilities of the role will include: n – To organise & complete service visits according to manufacturers recommendations. n – To position, install and commission equipment at customer sites. n – To repair equipment. n – To advise Head Office of any sales opportunities identified during the course of duties. n – To promote the company and act in a professional and diplomatic manner at all times. n – To adhere to quality standards at all times. n – Survey new and existing sites for installation purposes n – Feedback quality issues to the office n – Provide Technical Support to colleagues and customers as required. n Any of the following experience and qualifications would be beneficial although training will be given: n – Electrical/Electronic fault finding n – Electromechanical Installation e.g. BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regs n – Understanding of SLA, NiCD and Plante batteries n – Experience working with Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), UKPN, National Grid or London Underground would be beneficial n – Experience with Battery chargers, UPS, Backup power systems/supply, emergency lighting beneficial n – Substations access experience eg. UKPN, National Grid, Western Power, Southern and Scottish power, Electrical Authorised person and CSCS all beneficial n – UK Driving License and eligibility to work in UK are essential n Benefits: n Our client is employee owned and offer an attractive salary and benefits package to include profit share and overtime.
