Environmental Health Officer (Private Sector Housing) – Essex

I’m currently working with a Local Authority in Essex who are looking to bring in an experienced Private Sector Housing Officer on an initial 3-month rolling contract.

• Up to £50 per hour
• 2 days per week on site
• 3-month rolling contract

The role will involve a broad range of Private Sector Housing and enforcement work, including:

• HMO licensing
• HHSRS inspections and assessments
• Housing enforcement
• Investigating housing complaints
• Preparing statutory notices and enforcement documentation
• Working with landlords and tenants to achieve compliance
• Applying relevant housing legislation and enforcement powers

The successful candidate will need previous Local Authority Private Sector Housing experience, with strong knowledge of HMO licensing, HHSRS and housing enforcement.
