Governance & Risk Manager

Our client, based in Uxbridge, is currently recruiting for a Governance & Risk Manager on a permanent basis.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The salary is from £66,00 – £70,000.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Providing authoritative and practical governance advice to the Board and Senior Leaders helping them fulfil their mandatory obligations and ensuring an effective governance framework in practice – from decision-making through to delivery – across the whole organisation
• Embedding a clear, practical approach to risk management and mitigation, ensuring every team across our multi-site operation is clear on their responsibilities and takes informed decisions
• Maintaining accurate governance records, including conflicts of interest, tenure, appointments and decision trails
• As the Data Protection Officer, maintain UK GDPR compliance, ROPA and DPIA processes, IT, digital and security policies, serving as the main point of contact for any privacy enquiries
• Experience required within a not for profit or SME type organisation, due to the size of the team already there

Skills & Experience required:

• Experience within not for profit or SME organisations
• Degree in a relevant subject, a recognised governance qualification (“e.g. CGI/ICSA”) or
• equivalent relevant experience
