Investment Banking Analyst

A boutique M&A advisory firm is looking for a driven Analyst to join its deal team in London. The role offers broad, hands-on exposure to live transactions from day one, with less hierarchy and more direct deal involvement than a typical bulge bracket analyst programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Support execution of M&A transactions across sell-side, buy-side, and advisory mandates
• Build and maintain financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction comparables
• Assist in preparing pitch books, information memoranda, and management presentations
• Conduct sector, company, and market research to support origination and live deals
• Support due diligence processes and data room management
• Coordinate with clients, legal counsel, and other advisers under supervision of senior team members
• Take on increasing responsibility for workstreams as experience grows

Candidate Profile

• 0-2 years’ relevant experience (graduate, or 1-2 years in banking, transaction services, or accountancy)
• Strong academic record; degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; financial modelling experience/coursework a plus
• Highly numerate with strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, self-starting attitude
• Ability to thrive in a lean team environment with significant early responsibility
