Machine Operator

Location: RedditchPay: £13.00–£14.00 per hourHours: Monday–Thursday 7:30am–4:30pm, Friday 7:30am–1:30pmJob Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are currently recruiting for a Machine Operator to join a well-established manufacturing business in Redditch.

The role involves cutting, machining and pressing aluminium extrusion cases. You’ll be working from work-to lists and cutting lists to produce high-quality products to the required standards.

Full training will be provided, so this could be a great opportunity for someone with previous manufacturing experience who is looking to develop their skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating production machinery including upcut extrusion saws, pillar drills and hydraulic presses
• Cutting, machining and pressing aluminium extrusion cases
• Working from work-to lists and cutting lists
• Reading and working from engineering drawings
• Carrying out basic machine maintenance, including changing saw blades and press changeovers
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working area
• Ensuring all work is completed accurately and to the required quality standards
• Working independently and as part of a team

Skills & Experience

• Previous manufacturing experience is preferred but not essential
• Experience operating production machinery would be advantageous
• Ability to read engineering drawings would be beneficial
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Good timekeeping and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible and proactive approach to work
• Willingness to learn new skills
