Manufacturing Technician – Cameras
Role: Full Time
Hours: Friday – Sunday Weekend shift
Due to demand we’re looking for a technician to join our team in Glasgow to support us in the manufacturing process and test of multiple military based products. We are looking to expand the night shift.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
- Optical alignment and construction of optical subassemblies
- Complex optical bonding using a mixture of optical adhesives
- Optical handing and cleaning
- Analysis of optical components using interferometers etc.
- Calibration of optical subassemblies and tooling
- Work in multi-disciplinary teams
About You
- A good understanding of general physics
- Good practical and experimental skills
- Inquisitiveness – ability to question results and then answer those questions
- Self‑motivated and capable of working alone and within teams
- Good written and oral communication skills to allow effective communication with peers, and both technical and non‑technical customers.
Desirable
- Knowledge of optical instruments
- Knowledge of interferometry
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering
- Experience with opto‑mechanical components and manufacture.
- Optical handing and cleaning
- Optical bonding
