Please read the information in this job post thoroughly to understand exactly what is expected of potential candidates.Locations: Whitehaven or Warrington Contract: 12-month rolling contract Working pattern: Hybrid IR35: Inside IR35 Pay: Competitive hourly Umbrella rates Clearance: BPSS clearance required prior to startingDue to continued growth, we are seeking experienced Senior CS&A Engineers to strengthen our Civil and Structural capability and support the delivery of complex, safety-critical engineering projects.These are 12-month rolling contract opportunities, offering hybrid working from either Westlakes, Whitehaven or Warrington.The RoleAs a Senior CS&A Engineer, you will take a leading role in the development, verification and delivery of civil and structural engineering solutions across the full project lifecycle.Key responsibilities will include:Leading the development of civil and structural engineering designs and solutionsPreparing and verifying technical documentation, specifications and design justificationsProducing and checking Safety Functional Requirements (SFRs), Structural Design Method Statements (SDMSs) and Design Substantiation Reports (DSRs)Preparing and reviewing calculations, analysis reports, Basis of Design documents, material specifications, CDM documentation and technical reportsEnsuring engineering designs comply with relevant standards, regulatory requirements, nuclear safety and quality requirementsManaging and checking deliverables produced by junior engineersProviding technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineersLiaising with clients, regulators and multidisciplinary project stakeholdersSupporting project planning, cost estimating and risk management activitiesProducing clear, high-quality technical reports and engineering documentationAbout YouWe are looking for experienced Civil/Structural Engineers with:Chartered or near-Chartered Engineer status with a relevant professional bodyStrong civil and structural engineering principles and design experienceExperience producing and checking high-quality technical deliverablesExperience with finite xwwtmva element modelling (FEA/FEM) software and associated post-processing toolsUnderstanding of validation and verification requirements for engineering modelling tools and outputsKnowledge of relevant engineering standards, guidelines and regulatory requirementsGood understanding of health and safety legislation and CDMUnderstanding of design tools within a BIM environmentAbility to solve and communicate complex engineering problems clearlyStrong nuclear or similar highly regulated industry experienceIf youre an experienced Senior CS&A, Civil or Structural Engineer looking for a long-term contract opportunity within a complex, safety-critical engineering environment, apply today.
