Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
to join its engineering team on a permanent night shift. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment where engineering plays a critical role in driving performance, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities across site equipment and machineryDiagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise production downtimeRecord maintenance activities and repairs accurately through the site’s maintenance systemSupport root cause analysis investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issuesWork closely with production teams to maximise equipment reliability and efficiencyAssist with continuous improvement projects and equipment upgradesEnsure compliance with all health, safety, environmental and food manufacturing standardsSupport building and facilities maintenance activities where requiredContribute to a proactive engineering culture focused on performance and reliability
About You
Time-served engineering apprentice or qualified to ONC/HNC/HND level in an engineering disciplineMulti-skilled engineer with strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding abilitiesExperience working within an FMCG, food, beverage, packaging, pharmaceutical or similar manufacturing environmentPLC fault-finding experienceKnowledge of preventative maintenance systems and CMMS softwareUnderstanding of process control systems and automated manufacturing equipmentFamiliarity with GMP, HACCP and health & safety requirements within a manufacturing settingIdeally qualified to 18th Edition Wiring RegulationsProactive approach to continuous improvement and problem solvingStrong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
