Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) Consultant

Overview

As a CIAM Consultant, you design and implement secure, scalable CIAM solutions for clients, delivering identity-led experiences for millions of users. You’ll translate business needs into technical designs and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive impactful digital identity programs. You’ll advise on CIAM best practices, regulatory considerations, and emerging trends, exploring modern authentication to boost user trust. This role offers global collaboration, innovation, and the chance to shape Accenture’s CIAM offerings.

Responsibilities

• Partner with clients to design and implement CIAM solutions
• Translate business needs into scalable technical designs for large user bases
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to deliver identity solutions
• Advise on CIAM best practices, regulatory requirements, and trends
• Explore modern authentication approaches to enhance security and user trust
• Contribute to complex CIAM programmes across global teams
• Support internal initiatives shaping CIAM offerings and go-to-market strategies across the practice

Key requirements

• Strong IAM concepts (authentication, authorization, federation, decentralised identity)
• Hands-on CIAM platforms experience (Okta, ForgeRock, Ping Identity, Transmit, Azure AD B2C)
• Consulting or client-facing delivery experience
• Ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language
• Understanding of GDPR and UK Data Protection Act impacts on CIAM
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Well-organised with multi-workstream delivery capability
