As Lead Java Developer, you will shape the architecture and lead a small development team to deliver complex, SOA-based Java solutions for Financial Services. You will balance hands-on coding with architectural oversight, risk management, and agile delivery to ensure high-quality, timely outcomes. Responsibilities
- Provide technical oversight for a development team of 2–6 members
- Design technical solutions aligned with business requirements and existing architecture
- Set high-, mid-, and micro-level plans and direction
- Collaborate with the project manager on estimations and risk management
- Hands-on development in an Agile Java-based SOA context
- Develop conceptual and technical designs including SOA considerations
- Perform Java development and coding activities
- Document technical designs and compliance-related documents
- Coordinate with the client’s IT organization to ensure policy compliance
- Participate in and promote technical design and code reviews
- Mentor junior team members
- Drive continuous improvement to meet quality and time-to-market goals
Key requirements
- Significant experience in systems integration, development, and interactive design
- Design and architecture experience with Java technologies (Spring, Hibernate)
- Experience in design, development, and production support for Java/SOA-based services
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps
- Experience migrating to AWS
- Ability to implement JavaScript frontend code that consumes REST APIs
- Understanding of SDLC and software engineering fundamentals
- Strong leadership and communication skills for client management and multi-tasking
- English and Thai language proficiency and awareness of Thai work culture
