DevOps Engineer

Overview

In this role you will design and implement the enterprise DevOps strategy to support a growing, London-based financial services leader. You will collaborate with the Infrastructure Team to modernize the Azure landscape and enable scalable, secure delivery of services. You’ll tackle cross‑functional challenges spanning cloud, IaC, CI/CD, and microservices, delivering reliable automation and resilient systems. Responsibilities

• design and implement the enterprise-wide DevOps strategy for Azure and cloud services
• drive infrastructure automation using IaC (Terraform) and configuration tooling (Ansible)
• build and release pipelines, CI/CD processes, and containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes)
• manage monitoring and observability (Splunk, Prometheus, Datadog) and incident response
• work with IAM, API Gateways, and security/compliance requirements
• collaborate with cross-functional teams across the finance organization to meet business needs
• support and mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in DevOps and Agile environments

Key requirements

• experience with Azure, Linux, IaC, Terraform, CI/CD, Git, Azure DevOps, Ansible, Build and Release, Docker, Kubernetes, PowerShell, Python, Go, Git Bash
• Splunk/Prometheus/Datadog for monitoring
• Microservices architecture, SQL, API Gateways, IAM
• Agile methodologies
• Banking/Financial Markets/Investment Banking background – essential
