Senior Consultant or Manager, Cyber Security Operations Architect

Overview

As Operations Architect in Deloitte’s Cyber Defence team, you design Next-Gen Cyber Defence solutions for clients, bridging strategy and operating models. You will explore new approaches and tooling to stay at the cutting edge, and influence leadership direction while shaping client-specific blueprints for engineers. You’ll drive implementation and ensure security outcomes are achieved through thoughtful component design. This role sits in a growth‑oriented, collaborative practice that values impact and client outcomes, with hybrid work in major UK hubs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver designs of Next-Gen Cyber Defence solutions for clients
• Bridge strategy and operating models by providing blueprints for engineers
• Research and experiment with different approaches and tooling
• Influence macro strategic direction while guiding client-specific demands
• Drive implementation and operationalisation of solution designs
• Determine effective security outcomes through targeted component design
• Act as design SME for specific components
• Lead research efforts using diverse approaches and tooling
• Escalate as needed for Junior Architects
• Develop positive relationships with Deloitte and client teams

Key requirements

• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
• Good understanding of Security Operations working with SOCs
• Experience designing SOC architectures and content for SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR or Data Pipeline tooling
• Experience with vendors: Google SecOps, Wiz, CrowdStrike, Cribl, Microsoft Sentinel, Defender XDR
• Understanding of Data Engineering and Data Science approaches
• Strong commercial awareness
• Ability to manage suppliers/third parties
• Preferred: holds or willingness to undergo Government Security clearance
