Senior Technical Consultant

Overview

In this role, you configure and tailor the WorkForce Software suite to meet client needs, guiding deployments from requirements to go-live. You work with project teams to ensure solutions align with business goals, while coding, debugging and testing components. You will build client trust through clear communication and professional delivery, often coordinating across cross-functional teams. The role blends hands-on configuration with consulting and relationship-building, in a hybrid, client-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Configure the WorkForce Software Suite (Time, Scheduling, Integrations, etc.) to match client requirements using JavaScript, HTML, or scripting tools
• Lead and participate in requirements gathering with clients, producing documents, use cases, and process diagrams
• Understand product configuration requirements and impact on the database, template customization, and correct implementation sequencing
• Identify scope within projects and escalate out-of-scope items to stakeholders
• Guide complex administrative and configuration challenges
• Communicate roadblocks and seek guidance promptly
• Create complex formulas leveraging math and/or programming
• Perform unit and system testing to ensure quality against requirements

Key requirements

• 4-6 years of software implementations experience
• 3-5 years programming experience, preferably JavaScript and/or SQL
• Experience with implementing or training on packaged software or complex in-house apps
• Intermediate to advanced MS Office, especially Excel
• Familiarity with waterfall and agile service delivery
• Experience with report writers such as Crystal Reports, Cognos, Actuate
• Travel up to 50%, potential for international travel
