As a Principal AI Solutions Architect reporting to the VP of Software Engineering, you will shape the next generation of intelligent services across Nasdaq’s enterprise technology landscape. You combine deep Java-based architecture with modern AI patterns to drive our AI transformation strategy forward. You will design agentic workflows, LLM integration, and retrieval-augmented generation to automate complex business processes across platforms. Responsibilities
- Define and lead enterprise AI architecture strategy with agentic workflows, multi-agent systems, and LLM integration patterns
- Architect scalable, resilient Java-based solutions using Spring Boot, Spring AI, REST, event-driven microservices
- Participate in enterprise architecture forums to ensure AI initiatives meet standards across hybrid cloud and on-premises
- Define governance, observability, and responsible AI controls in partnership with security and compliance
- Mentor engineers, architects, and tech leads to drive architectural consistency across products
Key requirements
- 5+ years designing large-scale distributed systems with Java, Spring Boot, and enterprise application design
- Experience with AI architecture patterns: agentic workflows, RAG, LLM integration, vector databases, AI orchestration (e.g., Spring AI)
- Proven ability to deliver cloud-native/hybrid solutions across AWS, Azure, OCI, or GCP with Kubernetes and CI/CD
- Strong understanding of microservices, event-driven architectures, API governance, and enterprise integration
