Data Management Manager

Overview

As Data Management & Governance Manager, you will guide data governance, quality and AI-ready data initiatives for clients within Accenture’s Data & AI Practice. You’ll lead design and delivery of governance-enabled data solutions, manage cross-functional projects, and mentor multidisciplinary teams. You’ll translate complex findings into practical recommendations and build trusted client relationships to drive measurable outcomes. This role offers exposure to innovative data management capabilities and business development opportunities in a collaborative, high-performance environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME across Data Management & Governance capabilities and provide clear guidance on client engagements
• Lead the design and delivery of data governance and governance-aligned solutions aligned to client priorities and regulatory requirements
• Manage projects/workstreams: scope, plans, resources, budgets, risks, dependencies, governance and milestones
• Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams, coach colleagues, and foster inclusive, high-performing culture
• Assess current data capabilities and translate findings into practical delivery plans for sustainable improvements
• Build trusted client relationships and facilitate senior stakeholder workshops; communicate across business, data and tech audiences
• Contribute to business development by shaping proposals, estimating effort, and supporting client pitches
• Develop and improve data management propositions, methods, accelerators and thought leadership
• Advise on best practices for AI-ready data, metadata, catalogue and observability initiatives

Key requirements

• Typically 6+ years of relevant experience with hands-on expertise in one or more data management and governance capabilities
• Experience leading a project or substantial workstream from definition to delivery with planning, resources, risks and quality management
• Demonstrated experience coaching and developing team members and providing performance feedback
• Strong consulting skills: structuring complex problems, facilitating senior stakeholder discussions, delivering client-ready recommendations
• Experience contributing to proposals, delivery estimates, case studies, propositions, methods or reusable assets
• Commercial awareness and ability to balance client outcomes with delivery quality and team wellbeing
