Site Services Engineer

Overview

In this hands-on role you will maintain and improve critical site services at Greencore Park Royal, ensuring assets operate safely and reliably. You’ll diagnose faults, carry out planned and reactive maintenance, and support audits while driving continuous improvement in engineering processes. You work closely with cross-functional teams to sustain high-volume, quality production. This role offers hands-on problem solving within a fast-paced environment and meaningful impact on site reliability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and execute estate maintenance activities
• Carry out planned maintenance on site services assets
• Utilise condition-based monitoring for proactive maintenance
• Respond to breakdowns and perform corrective maintenance
• Diagnose faults across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, automation and pneumatic systems
• Manufacture or repair component parts to support asset reliability
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and failure investigations
• Maintain engineering documentation and support audit requirements
• Contribute to technical performance reviews with cross-functional teams
• Develop technical competence within the team
• Ensure maintenance tools and equipment are available and fit for purpose

Key requirements

• Strong mechanical installation and fault-finding capability in a site services or industrial environment
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and safely restore assets to full operational condition
• Good working knowledge of mechanical principles, utilities systems and spare parts management
• Structured, safety-focused approach to maintenance activities and problem solving
• Effective communication and collaboration across teams
• Strong planning and organisational skills for workload management
• Competence in basic IT systems for maintenance reporting and documentation
• Continuous improvement mindset with proactive reliability focus
• Desirable qualifications in HVAC, refrigeration, gas safety or improvement methodologies
