Overview

In this Senior Manager role, you provide expert corporate, governance and finance legal support within Deloitte UK’s Office of General Counsel. You will lead corporate transactions, advise the Finance team, and head the Company Secretarial function, collaborating across the UK firm and with the wider Deloitte network. You’ll navigate UK corporate law and regulatory frameworks, mitigating risk with practical, commercially minded solutions. Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on corporate, governance and finance matters with a focus on regulatory risk and commercial solutions
• Lead corporate transactional matters including acquisitions and disposals
• Support and advise the Finance team on external financing
• Lead the Company Secretarial team
• Draft, review and negotiate a range of transactions and commercial contracts
• Coordinate cross-functional work across Corporate Development, Finance, Tax and Treasury
• Identify and mitigate legal risks and provide practical solutions
• Manage multiple projects with strong planning, execution and reporting
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations and pursue CPD

Key requirements

• Qualified solicitor (or equivalent) in England and Wales
• In-house experience in a Professional Services or large complex organisation
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong drafting, negotiation and presentation skills
• Ability to influence senior leadership and act as trusted advisor
• Ability to work independently and in a high-performing team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Understanding of firm structure, compliance requirements and complex issues
