Principal Product Engineer, React Native

Overview

As Principal Product Engineer, you own the end-to-end mobile experience for our customers across iOS, Android, and web. You’ll shape a world-class React Native/Expo mobile stack and help integrate AI-driven features. You lead architecture and standards while mentoring peers, ensuring fast, reliable releases and production health. This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, and AI-first delivery at scale, with a strong emphasis on customer impact.

Responsibilities

• Own and ship mobile features end-to-end across iOS, Android, and web using React Native/Expo
• Introduce and propagate AI-driven patterns to accelerate delivery and value
• Set technical direction for the mobile stack and architecture
• Lead design and implementation of mobile deliverables, including backend touches when needed
• Maintain production health through performance profiling and release hardening
• Take on-call ownership and stand behind what is shipped in production
• Mentor team members and raise engineering craftsmanship across the mobile domain

Key requirements

• 10+ years of production software experience across mobile, backend, frontend, or full-stack
• Deep React Native and Expo expertise with iOS/Android track record
• Strong TypeScript fundamentals
• Experience using AI in daily work and bringing patterns to teams
• Product-minded with a focus on customer outcomes
• Production-focused with expertise in mobile performance, stability, releases, and security
• Craft oriented with attention to detail and design systems
• Comfortable operating in uncertainty and driving forward without complete direction
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to share learnings and align with leadership
• Ability to influence others and act as a force multiplier across teams
