Overview
In this contract role, you will lead engineering delivery on a major London project, providing hands-on technical support and coordinating with design teams, consultants and subcontractors. You will review drawings, method statements, and risk assessments while guiding junior staff and site teams to deliver safely and to a high standard. You’ll drive QA, cost control, and value engineering, ensuring progress aligns with the programme. This opportunity suits an experienced engineer seeking a dynamic, impact-focused assignment in data centre/industrial environments.
Responsibilities
- lead engineering delivery on a major project and provide hands-on technical support
- coordinate with design teams, consultants and subcontractors
- oversee setting out and manage technical queries
- review drawings, specifications, method statements and risk assessments
- resolve technical issues and monitor progress against the programme
- support quality assurance, cost control and value engineering
- mentor and guide junior engineers and site staff
Key requirements
- degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- proven experience on complex construction projects
- strong AutoCAD skills
- practical experience with GPS and Total Station
- excellent communication and leadership abilities
- ability to work with multiple project stakeholders
- experience in data centres, industrial developments or heavy civil/CSA projects advantageous
