Surface Solution Area Specialist

Overview

As a Surface Specialist at Microsoft, you guide customers on AI-enabled endpoint strategies using Surface Copilot+ PCs, Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 Copilot. You act as a trusted AI and device advisor to decision makers, translating capabilities into measurable outcomes across productivity, security, and on-device AI. You build strategic account plans, manage pipeline, and orchestrate cross-functional teams to accelerate Surface adoption within the broader Microsoft AI platform. The role focuses on enabling a resilient, AI-ready device estate.

Responsibilities

• Lead Surface sales initiatives for assigned customers and define their endpoint AI strategy
• Drive strategic conversations on Surface Copilot+ PCs, Windows 11, and Microsoft 365 Copilot to enable secure, high-performance AI experiences
• Act as trusted advisor to business and technical leaders and coordinate a virtual Microsoft/partner team
• Translate cloud, local, and hybrid AI capabilities into business outcomes for customers
• Assess device estates and AI readiness, matching Surface solutions to users and workloads
• Identify blockers and orchestrate internal/partner resources to resolve them
• Own opportunities from creation to close as a virtual-team leader to grow Surface revenue
• Maintain a healthy pipeline and align Surface opportunities with Microsoft AI, Copilot, Windows, and cloud value propositions
• Stay up-to-date on AI and endpoint trends, share knowledge, and bring market insights back to the business

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and experience in technology-related sales or account management or equivalent experience
