Speech and Language Job Description

• Speciality -Speech and Language Therapist – Mainstream Primary School – South East London
• Location -South East London
• Start date -ASAP
• Contract Length -Ongoing
• Pay Rates -£25-35 per hou
• We are looking for a Locum Speech and Language Therapist to support a mainstream primary school from September, working 1 day per week
• upporting primary-aged pupils with speech, language and communication needs, with a particular focus on language development.
• Carrying out assessments and delivering targeted intervention to help pupils develop their receptive and expressive language skills.
• Supporting children with vocabulary, sentence structure, listening, understanding and narrative skills.
• Advising teachers and support staff on practical strategies to promote language development within the classroom.
• Helping to create language-rich learning environments and providing resources to support communication across the school.
• Working closely with the SENCO, teachers and parents to ensure consistent support and progress.
• Writing concise reports and contributing to review meetings where required.
• £250+ daily rate

Requirements

• 1 year(s) post graduate experience
• Valid Passport/Visa
• Fully compliant and cleared to work
• DBS or Police Check
• HCPC-registered Speech & Language Therapist
• Experience working with primary-aged children in mainstream school settings.
• Strong understanding of speech, language and communication needs, particularly language development.
• Available to start in September, working 1 day per week.
