An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Senior Financial Accountant to join a successful and growing business based in Milton Kingdom. This is a key role within the finance team, offering ownership across financial reporting, month-end, statutory accounting and financial controls. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders and have the opportunity to influence processes and drive improvements across the finance function.

The role

• Take ownership of key areas of the month-end and year-end reporting process
• Prepare and review financial accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and journals
• Support the preparation of statutory accounts and manage elements of the external audit
• Maintain and develop a strong financial control environment
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Support budgeting, forecasting and wider financial analysis
• Identify and implement improvements to finance processes, controls and reporting
• Partner with stakeholders across finance and the wider business
• Support and provide guidance to more junior members of the finance team

About you

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
• Strong financial accounting and reporting experience
• Excellent understanding of month-end, statutory reporting and financial controls
• Confident working with auditors and senior stakeholders
• Strong Excel and financial systems experience
• Commercially aware with a proactive, hands-on approach
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
