Business Analyst – AI & Automation Transformation
A strong Business Analyst with an eye for improving processes? Interested in applying AI and automation within a leading organisation.
MRJ are exclusively engaged with one of the UK’s leading AI Product Consultancies, who have an urgent requirement for an experienced Business Analyst to support major transformation initiatives.
Your first engagement will be an AI & Automation transformation programme for one of the world’s leading organisations, focused on improving the central business services that support the organisation.
What’s the role?
Working closely with the consultancy’s Head of AI and onsite with client stakeholders, you’ll understand how business functions currently operate, identify opportunities for improvement and translate these into clear, practical requirements.
The focus is on processes such as procurement, invoicing and supporting business workflows. You’ll explore where manual activity, inefficiencies and disconnected systems can be improved through better processes, automation and AI.
You’ll help shape practical solutions, working alongside a technical delivery team that will design and build systems around the opportunities you uncover.
Day-to-day, you’ll be:
- Engaging with stakeholders across central business services, including Procurement and Finance.
- Understanding and documenting existing processes, systems and workflows.
- Identifying manual tasks, bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
- Assessing where automation and AI can deliver measurable business value.
- Translating business challenges into clear requirements, user stories and use cases.
- Facilitating workshops and defining improved future-state processes.
- Working closely with technical teams as solutions are designed, built and delivered.
- Supporting stakeholders in adopting new processes, tools and ways of working.
What we’re looking for
First and foremost, we’re looking for a strong Business Analyst with a proven track record across transformation programmes.
You’ll be confident getting to grips with complex business processes, asking the right questions and turning what you learn into requirements that technical teams can deliver.
You’ll bring:
- Strong business analysis experience across business change and transformation.
- A good understanding of central business services, particularly procurement, invoicing and related finance and operational processes.
- Proven experience in process analysis and improvement, with the ability to assess opportunities through an automation lens.
- Strong requirements-gathering, workshop-facilitation and process-mapping skills.
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and operational teams.
- A practical approach focused on achievable improvements and measurable outcomes.
- A keen interest in AI and automation, with a willingness to use tools such as Claude, Codex or similar in your day-to-day work.
Experience delivering automation programmes would be valuable. A background in F1, motorsport or automotive is desirable, but isn’t essential — your business analysis capability and understanding of business processes are the priorities.
