The opportunity
This is a great opportunity to join a community-minded construction business delivering industrial and data-centre projects. This is a hands-on commercial role for a Quantity Surveyor ready to take ownership of their work, lead packages confidently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
You will have room to take the reins without micromanagement, backed by an experienced support network when needed.
What you’ll do
- Lead and manage commercial responsibilities across one or multiple project packages.
- Support cost planning, procurement, valuations, variations, forecasting, and final accounts.
- Track project costs, commitments, risks, and changes accurately.
- Produce clear, timely commercial reports for project and senior stakeholders.
- Work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain commercial control.
- Manage packages typically valued at £5 million or more.
- Balance competing priorities across a busy portfolio of work while maintaining strong attention to detail.
What you’ll bring
- Previous Quantity Surveying experience within construction, ideally in industrial works, data centres, or a comparable fast-paced environment.
- Experience taking the lead on packages or running projects with appropriate support.
- Strong commercial tracking, cost-control, and reporting capability.
- Confidence handling multiple live workstreams and changing project demands.
- Experience with project packages valued at £5 million or above is highly desirable.
- Clear communication, sound judgement, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Experience using COINS would be highly valuable
Who this role suits
This role is well suited to a junior-to-mid-level Quantity Surveyor who has already built practical project experience and is ready for greater ownership. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, while valuing collaboration and support from a wider team.
Health, Safety and Wellbeing

All employees are expected to actively contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy working environment by complying with company policies, project safety requirements, and applicable legislation. Employees are encouraged to promote a positive safety culture, identify potential risks, and support continuous improvement initiatives that protect the wellbeing of colleagues, partners, and project stakeholders.
