Senior AccountantNear PortsmouthPermanent | Full time | Office based with 2 days WFHAre you an experienced practice accountant looking for a firm where your time and talent are genuinely respected?My client is a rapidly growing accountancy practice that combines traditional values with modern thinking.The roleAs a Senior Accountant, you’ll manage a portfolio of small business clients, providing technical support to a small accounting team.DutiesPreparing and submitting accounts and tax returns for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited CompaniesProviding training, mentorship and technical guidance- reviewing workCommunicating with clients by phone, email, social media and in personOnboarding new clientsAdvising clients on their tax position and planning for tax efficiencyProviding advisory support on cashflow, budgets, and pricingCompleting, reviewing and preparing bookkeeping, VAT returns and CIS where requiredPreparing and running year end client meetings and delivering client fee reviewsActing as the liaison between clients and HMRC to resolve queriesThe ideal candidateFull membership of a professional body (AAT, ATT, ACCA etc.)5+ years’ experience in practice, managing a broad client basePreparing, reviewing and checking accounts and tax returnsSound working knowledge of taxExperience with Xero, QuickBooks, Dext and FreeAgentCompetent in Microsoft Word and ExcelStrong time managementWhat’s on offerSalary of £40,000 – £50,000Permanent, full-time roleHybrid working: 2 days WFHFor more information please contact Jamie at HB Partners
