Pure Staff are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Night Driver on behalf of a well-established logistics provider based in the Redditch area. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Class 1 Night Driver seeking consistent work with a professional transport operation that genuinely values its drivers.Our client is a respected UK logistics and supply chain business, supporting nationally recognised retail brands through dependable distribution and delivery services.
Pay Rates
PAYE:£18.50 per hourPAYE with Rolled-Up Holiday:£20.73 per hourRolled-up holiday pay is available as an optional arrangement for drivers who prefer to receive their holiday entitlement within their hourly rate.
The Role
As a Class 1 Night Driver , you will be responsible for completing store deliveries across the region, operating independently and ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and efficiently.Typical duties include:Completing 3-5 store deliveries per shiftActing as a key holder for delivery locationsOpening and securing stores when requiredOperating the vehicle tail liftUnloading deliveries using roll cagesHandball duties where necessaryCompleting POD (Proof of Delivery) documentation accuratelyEnsuring all deliveries are completed safely and on timeMaintaining vehicle and delivery compliance standardsWorking independently throughout the nightThis is a responsible role requiring attention to detail, reliability and a professional approach.
Shift Information
Monday to FridayNight shifts availableStart times between 17:00 and 22:00Typical shifts are 8-12 hoursOptional weekend work may be available
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this Class 1 Night Driver role, you will require:Valid UK Category C+E LicenceValid CPC Qualification CardValid Digital Tachograph CardMinimum driving experience preferredNo more than 6 points for minor offencesGood understanding of Driver Hours and Working Time regulationsAbility to work independently and manage store access responsibilities
