Thrive Group are delighted to be working with our client in Somerset who is actively looking to recruit a Production Shift Manager to join the team on a permanent basis. What you will be doing: You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of production, ensuring the operation delivers safely, efficiently and to the highest standards of quality, food safety and hygiene.
- Leading and developing the production team.
- Planning and managing production to meet targets and budgets.
- Monitoring production performance, yields, waste and efficiency.
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, HACCP, GMP and hygiene.
- Managing production processes from milk intake through to packing.
- Driving continuous improvement and reducing waste and downtime.
- Working closely with Technical, Engineering and other departments.
- Managing performance, training and development within the production team.
- Ensuring compliance with company procedures and audit requirements.
What you will need to succeed: You will ideally have:
- Proven experience in a Production Management or senior production role within food/dairy manufacturing.
- Experience leading and developing production teams.
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP and food safety.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
