Employee Relations Partner – Temporary, 3-4 Months – County Antrim

MCS Group is partnering with a leading manufacturing organisation to recruit an experienced Employee Relations Partner for a 3-4 month temporary assignment.
The role:
This is a hands-on assignment with a clear focus: reducing the existing employee relations caseload ahead of the new year.
You’ll join the People team to progress outstanding cases, support managers through investigations and disciplinary processes, and bring matters to a timely and fair conclusion. This opportunity would suit an experienced HR professional who enjoys practical casework and can make an immediate contribution with minimal supervision.
The main responsibilities:
Take ownership of existing ER cases, prioritising outstanding actions and progressing matters through to resolution.
Conduct and support investigations, disciplinary hearings and other employee relations processes.
Provide clear, practical advice to managers on case handling and next steps.
Prepare and review case correspondence, meeting documentation and outcome letters.
Ensure cases follow internal procedures and Northern Ireland employment legislation.
Maintain accurate records and provide regular updates on case progress, highlighting risks or delays.
The successful candidate:
Will have experience independently managing employee relations cases, including investigations and disciplinaries.
Will possess a sound working knowledge of Northern Ireland employment legislation and fair procedures.
Can quickly assess case histories, identify outstanding actions and keep cases moving.
Will be confident supporting managers and handling sensitive matters professionally.
Will demonstrate strong organisation, attention to detail and a pragmatic approach.
Experience within manufacturing or a similarly fast-paced environment would be advantageous.
Will be available immediately or at short notice.
