Project Management Director

The Project Management Director is responsible for the management and profitability of contracts through the direct management of Project Managers within the Project Operations team. Scopes of contracted supply are generally related to power facilities for power producers and industrial facilities in the Power and Oil & Gas sectors with specific responsibility for the Project Management department.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage the Project organisation in accordance with established Project Management Office (PMO) and Quality Management Systems (QMS) guidelines.
• Manage resourcing levels and allocation of projects within the project management team.
• Lead process improvements to provide enhancements and gap closures on the PMO and QMS processes to further stability and EE market value add.
• Act as senior point of escalation for customers regarding project execution issues.
• Manage the commercial relationship between EthosEnergy and the customer in a manner aligned with EthosEnergy’s Core Values: Safety, People, Financial Responsibility, Integrity, and Service Excellence.
• Manage technical deliverables by ensuring planning, contracting, and coordinating the activities required for successful delivery of contracted services. This includes but is not limited to internal and external contracting of field labour activities, parts repairs, parts replacement, and facility upgrades.
• Hold periodic pre, in progress, and post project review meetings with project teams to ensure the success of deliverables.
• Responsible for overall quality, adherence to company quality standards and meeting customer Critical to Quality (CTQ) requirements.
• Establish a strategic vision for the project services team inclusive of short term, long term objectives and a succession plan for individual team members and this role.
• Lead, mentor and develop high potential candidates with the goals of their progression in alignment with succession planning.
• Prepare reports and conduct regular reviews as required
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Skills / Knowledge

• In depth knowledge and delivery of best practices in Project Management systems, policies and procedures including but not limited to: Planning, Quality Management, Risk Assessment, Schedule creation and maintenance, cost management and variance reporting, change control, commercial understanding of contracts, and customer relationship management.
• Demonstrated track record in motivating and inspiring internal and external project team members to cultivate and build collaborative relationships with colleagues & customers
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in the commercial management of complex contracts with the ability to understand scopes of delivery, terms and conditions and financial models.

Experience

• Extensive experience leading project teams and managing complex projects
• Demonstrable experience managing at a directors level with significant responsibility for leadership and customer retention
• Demonstrated track record of successful goal achievement with the ability to think on a strategic level as well as a tactical level is required to drive solutions within a matrix organisation.
• Ideal candidates will have strong power generation or industrial process industry experience
• Preference will be given to individuals who have demonstrated leadership in advanced technology gas turbine power plants or similar environment.

Education Requirements

• Educated to degree level in relevant discipline
• Recognised and accredited professional project management training and certification, PMI, PMP, or equivalent

Physical Requirements

• International travel will be required
