Senior Project Manager

I am recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to join a Tier 1 Main Contractor in Birmingham. This opportunity would suit an experienced construction professional with a strong track record of leading teams and delivering projects successfully.

The Role

You will take responsibility for project delivery, overseeing site operations and coordinating teams to achieve programme, budget, quality and health and safety objectives. You will work closely with clients, consultants and the wider project team from planning through to completion and handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the project team, ensuring clear responsibilities and effective communication.
• Develop, monitor and manage the construction programme.
• Oversee subcontractor performance and coordinate project resources.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety, quality and environmental compliance.
• Work closely with the commercial team to manage costs, risks and variations.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and stakeholders.Identify and resolve issues to maintain progress and achieve successful handover.

About You

• Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager or an experienced Project Manager ready to progress.
• A strong background in construction project delivery with a main contractor.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Strong understanding of construction programmes, commercial requirements and risk management.
• A track record of delivering projects safely, on time and within budget.
• Relevant construction qualifications and appropriate site management certifications.
