Working hands-on with sponsors, technical leads, engineers, business owners and suppliers, you’ll manage plans, dependencies, risks, resources and actions through to operational handover. You’ll also guide and mentor colleagues, helping them apply consistent project disciplines while retaining technical ownership.

This role is based at Denham and will involve travel to other Martin-Baker sites.

  • Produce concise portfolio reporting covering progress, resources, cost, risks, issues and decisions, challenging assumptions where needed.
  • Work with engineers and technical leads to translate technical activity into realistic delivery plans and support transition into business-as-usual.
  • Build effective relationships across business functions, suppliers and delivery teams, communicating clearly with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Improve project ways of working through prioritisation, capacity planning, lessons learned and evidence-based continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong practical experience managing and coordinating complex projects or programmes, including multiple concurrent priorities.
  • Experience establishing or improving project management processes, governance and reporting.
  • A strong understanding of planning, scheduling, resources, risks, issues, change and dependency management.
  • Experience working with technical specialists, engineers or multidisciplinary delivery teams.
  • Confidence using project planning, portfolio reporting, dashboard and Microsoft 365 collaboration tools.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation and written communication skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively.
  • A degree-level qualification in project management, engineering, information technology, business management or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A relevant project or programme management qualification, or demonstrable equivalent experience; experience in aerospace, defence, engineering, manufacturing or another regulated sector would be advantageous.
  • A curious, organised and proactive approach, with the ability to guide others and maintain momentum.
  • Share and demonstrate the Martin-Baker values.
