Business Analyst (Power BI & Reporting) – Outside IR35 (Energy/Utilities Industry experience needed)

Start Date: ASAPWorking Pattern: Hybrid – 2 days per week on-site in the Surrey Area

The Opportunity

My client who are well known in the Energy Industry are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join on an initial 3 month contract.

You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and convert them into well-defined requirements for dashboards and reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document reporting requirements from business stakeholders.
• Translate a high volume of reporting requests into clear, structured requirements for developers.
• Work closely with business users to understand reporting needs and priorities.
• Support the design and delivery of Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Ensure requirements align with the underlying data structures and business objectives.
• Collaborate with developers throughout the delivery lifecycle to clarify requirements where needed.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst delivering reports.
• Strong understanding of Power BI and reporting solutions.
• Knowledge of dimensional data models and how reporting data is structured.
• Good understanding of databases.
• Experience gathering and documenting business requirements for technical development teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Hybrid working with 2 days per week on-site.
