We are looking for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Cramlington to undertake planned, preventive and reactive maintenance activities on equipment, tools and facilities across the whole site.What you’ll be doingResponsible for ensuring safe working practices are followed at all timesCompletion of effective planned preventive maintenance of equipment, tools and facilities, with an emphasis on breakdown prevention through the continual development of PPM proceduresDiagnose faults and complete reactive repairs across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systemsAssist with installation, commissioning, and modification of equipmentLiaise with production, engineering, and external contractors to resolve issues quicklyIdentify and order spare parts, ensuring stock is maintained at required levelsRoot cause analysis of breakdowns and implementation of effective reoccurrence prevention plans using tools such as Major Breakdown ReportsWork as part of a maintenance team and demonstrate good communication skills in interfacing with other departments, suppliers, contractors and manufacturers as requiredsOperating access platforms including scissor lifts and cherry pickersUse of PC for accessing information, emails and completing reportsAssisting with the training and mentoring of apprenticesWho we’re looking forTo apply, we are looking for someone who has strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills, has experience within a high volume-manufacturing environment, is competent in safe systems of work (LOTO, permits, isolation procedures) and has the ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals.
