As Managing Director for QTSUK, you will lead safety-focused operations and drive strategic growth across the UK Defence sector. You’ll shape product strategies for aerial targets and build a Centre of Excellence for manufacturing and assembly. You will lead a cross-functional team and work with senior stakeholders to deliver performance, quality and compliance. This role offers broad global engagement and a chance to influence defence capability, technology and customer outcomes. Responsibilities

• Provide clear, visible leadership of the QTSUK business
• Foster a people-centred culture emphasizing safety, inclusion and engagement
• Lead a high-performing cross-functional leadership team
• Champion safety governance in collaboration with Engineering and Operations
• Develop and maintain Product Strategies for Aerial Targets
• Create and lead a UK-wide Centre of Excellence for manufacturing and assembly
• Oversee customer engagement and senior external stakeholder relationships
• Deliver financial performance, growth targets and competitive positioning
• Own capability roadmap for manufacturing/assembly and make/buy/partner strategies
• Manage risks and present short to long-term strategic plans and budgets
• Coordinate with QinetiQ Canada and international Sectors to drive global product sales

Key requirements

• Experience leading diverse, complex technical operations
• Experience leading a vertically integrated mid-sized defence design engineering business
• Senior business leadership experience
• Proven track record inspiring and developing cross-functional teams
• Strong ability to build relationships with senior customers
