In this full-time Specialty Doctor role you will provide medical input on General Adult inpatient wards at The Harbour, Blackpool, working under a Consultant. The position requires Section 12 approval or eligibility within 3 months and a total psychiatry experience that supports inpatient work. You contribute to direct patient care and expert advisory support for the team, in a permanent 40-hour week. This role sits within an NHS foundation trust with dedicated professional development and peer support.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical input to General Adult inpatient wards, including direct care and advisory work for the team
• Deliver inpatient medical care and clinical guidance on ward rounds
• Collaborate with and be supported by a Consultant Psychiatrist
• Contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions and patient management planning

Key requirements

• MBBS or equivalent
• Full GMC registration and Licence to Practise
• Section 12 approved or eligible within 3 months
• At least 4 years of psychiatry experience including 8–12 months UK psychiatry experience
