Security Engineer

Overview

In this role you will help secure MUFG Pension & Market Services by designing, implementing and supporting security controls across systems and applications. You will work within the Information Security team to address current challenges and raise security standards, shaping the way we deliver secure technology services. The position offers exposure to security architecture, cloud and endpoint security, and governance across global teams. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive secure-by-default delivery and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security solutions aligned with business objectives
• Create and maintain global security standards and a client-first approach
• Act as a technical escalation point for security controls and concepts
• Guide security solution design and implementation in fast-paced settings
• Provide solutions to varied and complex technical problems
• Ensure MPMS compliance with privacy, data protection and information security risks
• Ensure server and application designs meet MPMS security policies
• Oversee audit and compliance activities and drive corrective actions

Key requirements

• Strong understanding of Application Security concepts and agile methodologies
• Experience in DevSecOps transformation, systems integration or consulting
• Experience with Zscaler, Okta and CrowdStrike; familiarity with Cloud, endpoint, network security and SIEM
• Knowledge of threat modelling and architectural decision making
• Experience with integration concepts and patterns across infrastructure domains
• Excellent verbal and written communication; stakeholder relationships
• Consulting and negotiation skills; proficiency in MS Project, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint
• 5+ years hands-on implementation on major projects; 7+ years in distributed applications (preferred)
• Experience architecting and building Security Architecture Frameworks
