Project Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead delivery of highway infrastructure within the Highways Infrastructure Team, shaping the Structures, Drainage and Geotechnical portfolio. You will drive capital and revenue works to maintain a reliable highway network, collaborating with partners to deliver the forward programme. The role combines proactive planning, technical review and stakeholder engagement to uphold high standards. Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of infrastructure capital and revenue works
• Support the delivery of the infrastructure forward programme
• Collaborate with colleagues and partner organisations to ensure successful project delivery
• Review technical and project work and challenge where needed
• Promote high standards and a customer-focused approach
• Coordinate with contractors and stakeholders to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced setting

Key requirements

• Design and construction experience within the highways sector
• Experience in a local authority environment (preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to review technical work and challenge where appropriate
• Organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
