Procurement Lead

Overview

In this role you will lead a procurement team within a successful construction organisation delivering major infrastructure programmes across the UK. You will develop and execute strategic sourcing and category plans, manage multi-spend procurement, and lead tendering and supplier selection. You will build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and negotiate contracts and framework agreements. You will drive value, supplier performance and procurement innovation, with hybrid on-site work and exposure to high-profile projects. You will influence procurement strategy to support growth and transformation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop procurement and sourcing professionals
• Develop and deliver strategic sourcing and category plans
• Manage procurement across multiple areas of spend
• Lead tenders, RFPs and supplier selection processes
• Build relationships with senior stakeholders and suppliers
• Negotiate commercial contracts and framework agreements
• Drive value, supplier performance and procurement innovation

Key requirements

• Strong strategic procurement, sourcing or category management experience
• Proven team leadership and people development skills
• Experience within construction, infrastructure or similarly complex project environments
• Strong commercial, negotiation and stakeholder management capability
• Good knowledge of contracts and supply chain markets with NEC experience essential
