Senior FX Prime Brokerage and AI Engineer

Overview

In this role you shape and deliver next‑level FX and Prime Brokerage solutions using cloud-native tech and CI/CD. You’ll work with cross‑functional teams to translate needs into scalable, data‑driven software while improving the development lifecycle. The position sits at the intersection of FX technology, trading, and product delivery, offering impact through automation and modernization. You will join a high‑performing team that values hands‑on coding and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on design, development and testing of Prime Brokerage features for FX and Equities
• Architectural design and collaboration with traders, quants, and product teams to deliver data-driven solutions
• 3rd line production support and 24h on-call readiness
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices and consistency
• Contribute to SDLC improvements and documentation
• Ensure compliance with Citi policies and maintain technical documentation

Key requirements

• Master’s degree or above in a STEM discipline
• Proven software engineering experience with strong Java and Spring fundamentals
• Hands-on Java, Spring experience and understanding of ultra-low-latency development
• Strong SQL/Databases and messaging tech (Kafka, Solace, MQ)
• Experience building production-grade applications and modern CI/CD pipelines
• Good communication skills across levels and ability to deep-dive into codebases
• Awareness of industry trends and willingness to leverage new tech
