Family Solicitor / CILEx lawyer

Overview

In this role you will own a full private family law caseload within a supportive, team-focused firm. You act as the firm’s dedicated family specialist, with scope to grow the department over time and shape how family work is delivered. You handle matters across divorce, financial remedies and private children disputes, with advocacy experience desirable but not essential. This is an autonomous position offering responsibility, stability, and meaningful long-term potential within Berkshire.

Responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload of private family law matters
• Advise on divorce and financial remedies
• Handle private children disputes
• Provide advocacy where applicable (desirable)
• Collaborate with an experienced secretary and contribute to department growth

Key requirements

• Qualified as a Family Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx)
• 2+ years PQE (2+ PQE)
• Experience in private family law; advocacy experience is a plus
• Legal registration and compliance as applicable in the UK
