Overview

As a Restructuring & Insolvency Partner in a growing regional law firm, you will lead and expand the practice in Guildford, handling complex insolvency matters across contentious and non-contentious matters. You will develop client relationships, drive business growth, and mentor junior members within a supportive, commercially focused environment. This strategic role offers autonomy and a platform to build a thriving practice while shaping the firm’s insolvency offering. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high‑value restructurings and insolvency solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and expand the restructuring & insolvency practice in Guildford
• Manage a broad range of complex insolvency and restructuring matters (administrations, CVAs, receiverships, distressed businesses)
• Develop and manage client relationships to drive business growth
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members
• Contribute to strategic growth and practice development within a supportive, commercial environment

Key requirements

• 10+ years PQE in insolvency/restructuring
• Strong technical expertise in insolvency and restructuring
• Proven leadership ability
• Track record in business development and client relationship management
• Ability to handle contentious and non-contentious matters
