Interim Senior Legal Counsel – Investment Management / Funds Distribution

We are supporting a leading global investment management business looking to appoint an experienced Senior Legal Counsel for a 12-month maternity cover.
This is a highly commercial role sitting close to the business, with a particular focus on transactions involving the distribution of funds, ETFs and model portfolios.
The successful lawyer will advise on transactions from an early stage, helping the business determine how new arrangements can be structured from a legal and regulatory perspective, before taking responsibility for the associated drafting and negotiation.
Key experience sought:
- Significant experience with fund, ETF and/or model portfolio distribution
- Experience advising on deal and distribution structures
- Ability to assess new commercial propositions from a regulatory perspective and determine what is/isn’t possible
- Strong drafting and negotiation experience relating to distribution and investment product arrangements
- Confidence operating autonomously and working directly with senior business stakeholders
- Ability to contribute to broader strategic projects alongside transactional work
This would suit an experienced lawyer from an asset manager, investment management business or relevant private practice funds/regulatory team who is comfortable operating at a senior and highly commercial level.
