We are looking for a Senior Associate / Legal Director to join our Business Services Group. You will provide expert legal advice on commercial contracts, intellectual property and data protection, manage high-value matters, and guide clients through day to day business-related issues.
Alongside your technical legal work, you’ll play an active role in developing and strengthening client relationships, while building your own network of clients and referrers. You’ll be encouraged to identify opportunities for additional work across the firm and get involved in networking, marketing and wider business development initiatives, helping to grow your profile in the market and within your chosen sectors.
This role offers something different from the traditional law firm model. You will have the autonomy to mould your own practice, supported by an established and growing Business Services Group, strong internal referral networks, dedicated marketing support and colleagues across the wider firm who want to help you succeed.
Put simply, you will have the freedom to build something of your own, but you will not be building it alone.
We are looking for someone who:
- Have at least five years’ PQE for the Senior Associate role or ten years’ PQE for the Legal Director role
- Have substantial private-practice experience in commercial contracts, intellectual property and/or data protection
- Be technically strong and capable of managing complex matters with confidence
- Have excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills
- Enjoy working closely with businesses and understanding their commercial objectives
- Have a proactive approach to business development
- Be comfortable building relationships both internally and externally
- Possess an entrepreneurial mindset and a genuine desire to grow a practice
