Partnership Opportunity with Salaried Options Considered (6-8 Sessions)

Due to the retirement of our senior partner, Charlotte Medical Practice is seeking an enthusiastic and committed GP to join our team.

Our preferred appointment is a GP Partner, and we would particularly welcome applications from doctors looking to play an active role in the future development of a successful, forward-thinking practice. However, we recognise that candidates may be at different stages in their careers, and a salaried appointment with a pathway to partnership would also be considered for the right individual.

Charlotte Medical Practice is a well-established, stable practice serving approximately 9,500 patients in the market town of Dumfries. We work from modern, purpose-built Health Board-owned premises and pride ourselves on providing high-quality, patient-centred care within a supportive and friendly environment.

We are a practice that values:

  • Continuity of care
  • Teamwork and good communication
  • Equality and fairness in workload
  • Work-life balance

Our team currently comprises:

  • 6 GP Partners
  • 3 Advanced Nurse Practitioners
  • 2 General Practice Nurses
  • An experienced Practice Management Team
  • Dedicated and highly skilled administrative staff

We are further supported by an excellent multidisciplinary team, including:

  • General Practice Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians
  • MSK Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner
  • Community Nursing team based on site

We have strong relationships with colleagues across NHS Dumfries & Galloway and enjoy collaborative working with nearby practices, the Health Board and Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary.

We are actively involved in medical education and currently teach both ScotGEM and Aberdeen Medical School students.

What We Offer

  • Partnership opportunity within a stable and successful practice
  • Supportive and experienced clinical team
  • Modern premises and excellent multidisciplinary support
  • No out-of-hours commitment
  • Flexible sessional commitment (6-8 sessions)
  • Golden Hello available for eligible candidates

If you are looking for a practice where relationships matter, teamwork is valued and partnership remains at the heart of general practice, we would be delighted to hear from you.
