About the Role
Pure Staff are currently recruiting for an experienced
HGV Class 2 Day Driver
to work with one of our long-standing clients within the palletised distribution industry. This is an ongoing opportunity offering regular work, excellent rates of pay and the chance to secure a long-term position with a well-established transport operation in the Gloucester area.The successful
HGV Class 2 Day Driver
will be responsible for delivering and collecting palletised freight while maintaining high standards of customer service and professionalism.
Duties and Responsibilities
As an
HGV Class 2 Day Driver , you will be responsible for:Delivering and collecting palletised goods to commercial customersCompleting 5-10 deliveries and collections per shiftConducting daily vehicle checks and defect reportingEnsuring all deliveries are completed safely and on timeSecuring loads correctly and adhering to all transport legislationCompleting delivery paperwork accuratelyCommunicating with the transport office throughout the dayProviding a professional level of customer serviceCarrying out handball when requiredMaintaining compliance with Driver Hours and Working Time regulations
Shift Pattern
Monday to Friday07:00 startsTypical shifts between 8 and 12 hoursOngoing work availableOptional overtime shifts availableWeekend work available when required
