PerfectTed is on a mission to spread positive energy and help people feel their best: energised, focused and ready to take on the day, without compromise.

We’re one of the world’s largest matcha brands, with a rapidly growing international supply chain spanning the UK, EU, Japan and an emerging US market.

As we continue to scale globally, we’re investing in the people, processes and infrastructure needed to move our products efficiently across borders and into the hands of customers worldwide.

PerfectTed is looking for an International Trade & Logistics Executive to take ownership of the day-to-day movement of stock across our growing international supply chain.

This is a hands-on, mid-level operations role for someone who already understands international freight, export documentation and customs processes, and is ready to take responsibility from day one.

You’ll manage routine international shipments end-to-end, working closely with freight forwarders, carriers and internal teams to ensure stock moves smoothly, documentation is accurate and potential issues are resolved quickly.

You’ll be a key part of our International Operations team, working alongside experienced colleagues to maintain operational excellence while supporting our continued expansion into new markets.

Beyond day-to-day logistics, you’ll also have the opportunity to support organic certification processes and UK-to-US stock movements as our international operations evolve.

We’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running, take ownership and bring structure, accuracy and efficiency to a fast-moving global operation.

  • Own the day-to-day scheduling, booking and tracking of international stock movements across our freight forwarder network.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for freight forwarders and carriers on routine shipments, including bookings, ETAs, delays and exceptions.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound stock movements across international markets.
  • Monitor shipment progress, proactively identify potential delays and resolve issues before they escalates.
  • Manage multiple live shipments simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and delivery requirements are met.
  • Escalate complex or unusual issues to senior team members while independently resolving routine operational challenges.

Export Documentation & Customs Compliance

  • Prepare, review and manage international shipping and export documentation.
  • Generate and quality-check commercial invoices, packing lists and certificates of origin.
  • Work with House and Master Bills of Lading, Air Waybills and other relevant freight documentation.
  • Ensure documentation is accurate, complete and compliant with relevant customs and shipping requirements.
  • Apply working knowledge of Incoterms and customs procedures to support smooth international movements.
  • Resolve routine customs, port health and carrier queries in line with established processes and SOPs.
  • Maintain organised and accurate records of shipments, documentation and customs correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate shipment trackers and ensure all movements are visible to relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide timely updates to Demand Planning, Warehousing, Finance and other internal teams.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure stock movements align with business requirements.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and opportunities to improve processes.
  • Maintain clear communication and follow-through across multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
  • Support UK-to-US stock transfers, including shipping paperwork and customs coordination as our US operations scale.
  • Assist with organic certification documentation, including organic certificates, transaction certificates and chain-of-custody requirements when additional support is needed.
  • Provide operational cover across the wider International Trade & Logistics function as priorities shift.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure continuity of service across international markets.
  • Develop broader knowledge of international trade and logistics processes as the business expands.

Must-Haves

  • Proven experience in international trade, logistics, freight forwarding or a related supply chain role.
  • Practical experience managing international shipments and coordinating with freight forwarders or carriers.
  • Strong working knowledge of export documentation, Incoterms and customs processes.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing key shipping documentation, including:
  • Packing Lists
  • House and Master Bills
  • Air Waybills and Bills of Lading
  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly when handling documentation and customs requirements.
  • Highly organised and comfortable managing multiple live shipments and competing priorities.
  • Confident communicating with freight forwarders, carriers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills, with the judgement to resolve routine issues independently and escape when necessary.
  • Comfortable working autonomously with limited ramp-up time.
  • Strong follow-through and a genuine sense of ownership over day-to-day operations.
  • AI-first mindset – you’re comfortable using AI and automation tools to improve workflows, streamline reporting, organise information and reduce repetitive administrative tasks, while maintaining accuracy and appropriate data controls.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience within FMCG, food & beverage or another fast-moving consumer goods business.
  • Experience preparing or managing CHED-D and IPAFF documentation.
  • Knowledge of Certificates of Origin and Certificates of Inspection.
  • Familiarity with GBHC176 and alternative health certification requirements.
  • Experience with organic certification, transaction certificates or organic stock movements.
  • Exposure to US import processes and customs requirements.
  • Experience working within a high-growth or founder-led business.

The Ideal Candidate Is

  • Exceptionally organised and obsessed with getting the details right.
  • Calm under pressure and confident managing multiple shipments at once.
  • Proactive about identifying and resolving problems before they become bigger issues.
  • Comfortable taking ownership rather than waiting for instructions.
  • A clear communicator who keeps stakeholders informed without needing to be chased.
  • Commercially aware and understands the importance of reliable, efficient stock movements.
  • Adaptable and happy to support different areas of the business as priorities evolve.
  • Someone who enjoys the operational detail and takes pride in making complex international movements run smoothly.
  • Excited by the opportunity to help scale the international supply chain of one of the world’s leading matcha brands.
  • Competitive salary + EMI options scheme.
  • A stunning Shoreditch office at the Tea Building.
  • The opportunity to work closely with experienced international operations and supply chain professionals.
  • Genuine responsibility and ownership from day one.
  • The chance to play a key role in supporting the global expansion of one of the world’s leading matcha brands.

TLDR

PerfectTed is scaling internationally and we’re looking for an International Trade & Logistics Executive to take ownership of our day-to-day global stock movements. You’ll manage freight forwarders, coordinate international shipments, prepare export and customs documentation, and keep stock moving efficiently across borders.

You’ll also support organic certification and US import processes as our global operations expand. If you’re highly organised, confident with Incoterms and shipping documentation, and ready to hit the ground running in a fast-growing FMCG business, this is your role.
